[Aw yiss. Somewhere along the line, Jaime discovered that his armor was finally working again. Complete with the crabby voice that came with it. To take advantage of it, he's been walking and/or flying around with it on all day, perhaps to keep an eye out for anyone else...and to maybe show off to his Heracross a bit because, hey! They match.

Speaking of, if anyone happens to be outside Violet City, or just has their Pokegear on, they might notice someone, wearing some unusual blue armor, suddenly letting a Heracross out of a Pokeball, followed by a Turtwig good measure...both who look kind of confused, then hostile in a matter of seconds.]

Woah. Don't worry guys. It's--wait, no calm down!

[Things seemed to be okay until they saw what he looked like. Springing the armor on them like that was probably a really bad idea, as they're seconds away from attacking, which then provokes his armor to activate one of its weapons.]

No--wait!! [...] Don't vaporize them! They're friends! Friends!

[Just as he's trying to deactivate his armor, who's currently still shouting at him and trying to attack, Turtwig tackles him, followed by Heracross.]

Stop! Guys, it's me!! I'm just wearing--

[This goes on several minutes, and the feed even loses focus a couple of times before Jaime's able to revert back to his normal self and calm his Pokemon down. Secret identity what is that?]

Okay. Yeah. Never doing that again. [A beat.] No, it would not have been preferable to use the sonic lasers!

Hi Blue! [He's too satisfied in his Bulbasaur-like glory to actually turn back for now.]

So uh... where are we anyway?

[Blinking. Are you getting pwned by animals, Jaime? Really? Also giant bug.]

... Do you want help? [He's tempted to ask if that is the scarab's distant cousin, honestly.]

[Oops. Sorry Jaime.]

Hey sweetie! Sorry about the landing-- magic's been on a fritz since I got here.

... Wait, what are you doing here?

[Hey, they're stronger than they look, okay?]

No, I think--[He's just going to palm Turtwig's head and push her aside.] I've got it under control. Kind of.

[Rather than trying to move Heracross, he focuses for a moment to calm the scarab so he can deactivate it and revert back to the form his Pokemon are the most used to. AKA his normal self.]

[He then turns his attention back to Heracross, who still has yet to get off of him.]

Anytime you're ready to move, ese...

[And he does, which prompts Jaime to stand again. Now that this whole hot mess is mostly over, hi Robin.]

Anyway, uh. You can pretend none of that happened.

That--no. It wasn't me. [He wouldn't know how to explain it to her without sounding like a crazy person, so...] I just lost control for a moment...but, yeah. It's armor, but I wouldn't exactly say I'm a knight.

[Sw-sweetie? Well, okay, then.]

I mean. It's okay! [Casually ignoring the scarab right now. Or trying to, anyway. Shh.] I should probably pay more attention to where my Pokemon decide to freak out on me.

Some place called Johto. There are crazy animals, or Pokemon, running around instead of like the animals back home, but...when'd you get here?

[Not that he's complaining. Up until today, it's just been him, Wonder Girl, Nightwing-but-not-Nightwing-because-he's-13-now, and Miss Martian.]

No, just. [Pokemonland is snatching up Leaguers, too. Leaguers who were supposed to be in space last he heard.] Didn't expect to see you here.

[Yep. He's now safe and unarmed and also trapped under Heracross, who thought the best idea would be to sit on him until his trainer was freed from the "scary-looking" armor. All Jaime could do was run a hand over his face until he heard a familiar voice. Why did someone have to witness this? Either way, he offers a sheepish smile.]

Oh, hey, Maka.

[If they stopped meeting like this, Jaime would have no problem with that at all.]

You think?

[He'd be more inclined to agree if it weren't for the voice that came with it.]

...But you are a hero, right? Serving for noble ideals even if you have strange armor on? (Her tone's getting a little more excited, so he might not have to worry too much about sounding like a crazy person.)

[That just gets a raised eyebrow, though he can't really comment because he had been flocked by every bird he could imagine before he arrived. He's not sure he likes being a tree for them to perch on, or flattened like Jaime.]

Right. So I guess they're... allies? [Like Wolf. Sphere. They better not be Turtle and Bug.] I've never seen animals like this before. Where are we?

Coool! This is still Earth, right? I mean, I checked-- I could breathe and all.

Oh uh. Just this morning, actually. I met a bunch of these guys going Bulbasaur' at me and here I am.

[Maka, that's a terrible response, but at the moment she's more concerned with reassuring Crona that the big blue thing is gone and he can come out of the clearly safe soft that is his (admittedly tiny) trainer's arms. The Munna comes out, though still sticks close to Maka, staring worriedly at Jaime.]

So, uh...would it be out of line to ask what the heck that was or--?

[You can probably now see a Zubat poking into the frame. He's trying very hard not to swat it.]

I think I was in college when this game came out.

[Which is the closest he'll ever get to asking what the hell, man, WHAT THE HELL.]

[Aaand she finally notices his pokemon. And blinks.]

... They aren't Reach, are they? And since when did you have pets?

No. I'd probably do the same thing. [Rubs the back of his neck. How to explain this...] That was...my armor. And I guess you could say it malfunctioned and freaked Heracross and Turtwig out at the same time.

[Malfunctioned? More like freaked out and decided the best way to handle the situation was to terminate the Pokemon despite what Jaime said. Sob.]

What, showing them? Well...yeah. Heracross sort of reminded me of it. I didn't expect them to freak out on sight.

[Even if he sort of can't blame them.]

Your armor?

[A beat.]

So, are you like a superhero or something?

[Maka, superheroes generally keep that shit a secret.]

Yeah. They're allies. [No Jaime's way more creative than Conner okay. Except he isn't because he didn't name them yet.] Heracross...or the beetle-looking one was dumped on me as soon as I got here. Guess that's a standard thing around here.

But we're in a place called Johto. And, instead of calling the animals animals, they're called Pokemon. And it's easy to tell what some of them are because they always say their names...er, species.

[Okay, so that made him smile.]

I guess you could say that.

Maybe you should have kept your mask off.

Or be like me and show up in your mask so they get used to it. Is the costume a weapon? That's the only reason I can think of for you not having it on tap before now.
