[Aw yiss. Somewhere along the line, Jaime discovered that his armor was finally working again. Complete with the crabby voice that came with it. To take advantage of it, he's been walking and/or flying around with it on all day, perhaps to keep an eye out for anyone else...and to maybe show off to his Heracross a bit because, hey! They match.

Speaking of, if anyone happens to be outside Violet City, or just has their Pokegear on, they might notice someone, wearing some unusual blue armor, suddenly letting a Heracross out of a Pokeball, followed by a Turtwig good measure...both who look kind of confused, then hostile in a matter of seconds.]

Woah. Don't worry guys. It's--wait, no calm down!

[Things seemed to be okay until they saw what he looked like. Springing the armor on them like that was probably a really bad idea, as they're seconds away from attacking, which then provokes his armor to activate one of its weapons.]

No--wait!! [...] Don't vaporize them! They're friends! Friends!

[Just as he's trying to deactivate his armor, who's currently still shouting at him and trying to attack, Turtwig tackles him, followed by Heracross.]

Stop! Guys, it's me!! I'm just wearing--

[This goes on several minutes, and the feed even loses focus a couple of times before Jaime's able to revert back to his normal self and calm his Pokemon down. Secret identity what is that?]

Okay. Yeah. Never doing that again. [A beat.] No, it would not have been preferable to use the sonic lasers!

[He then turns his attention back to Heracross, who still has yet to get off of him.]

[And he does, which prompts Jaime to stand again. Now that this whole hot mess is mostly over, hi Robin.]

Anyway, uh. You can pretend none of that happened.

[That just gets a raised eyebrow, though he can't really comment because he had been flocked by every bird he could imagine before he arrived. He's not sure he likes being a tree for them to perch on, or flattened like Jaime.]

Right. So I guess they're... allies? [Like Wolf. Sphere. They better not be Turtle and Bug.] I've never seen animals like this before. Where are we?

Yeah. They're allies. [No Jaime's way more creative than Conner okay. Except he isn't because he didn't name them yet.] Heracross...or the beetle-looking one was dumped on me as soon as I got here. Guess that's a standard thing around here.

But we're in a place called Johto. And, instead of calling the animals animals, they're called Pokemon. And it's easy to tell what some of them are because they always say their names...er, species.

I guess they found your armor a threat, then. Why though? I mean, shouldn't they have gotten used to it by now?

Well...no. See, when I got here, my armor was completely disabled. I couldn't do anything with it. This place took away everyone's powers if they had them.

[necessaryrisks]

... A nullification field? [And he thought that animals were weird... and the humps he cannot jump over, which was triply weird.] Wouldn't the scarab have been able to trace a way to undo it?

Apparently not. Guess the field or whatever disabled it was way more advanced.

That's... worrisome. [Considering the Reach was already a lot more advanced than Earth, and they weren't exactly friendlies.] Though from the looks of it, you've managed to tame them into being allies. That's a good sign, at least.
