Uh...this thing on?

[Unknown to Jaime, the device actually is on, but nothing can be seen. Only his voice can be heard, and it's pretty easy to tell he's rather confused, maybe even a little panicked. Moments later, the video finally clicks on, revealing a dark-haired young man with a confused look that matches his voice.]

Finally! Okay, is anybody there? [A pause. He debates on whether or not he should call the team out, considering anybody could be out there...like the Light or something. Who knows? On top of that, his scarab's not working, so he's sure things could get bad fast. Still couldn't hurt to try!]

Nightwing? Impulse? Robin? Anybody? What's going on? Where exactly are we...if we're all here anyw—

[When he looks off to the side for a moment, as something else caught his attention, his face shifts from confused to extremely freaked out once he sees what it actually is.]

—dios mio! You again? Why's a monster beetle following me around everywhere?!

[The camera's suddenly really shaky, but the view finally shifts to a Heracross moving toward the camera. It looks friendly enough and hasn't tried attacking him since he's been here. Said monster beetle actually looks kind of cool, but that's not the point here. To Jaime, cool-looking or not, beetles shouldn't be that big, and he doesn’t have his gear to fight it off, so he’s really terrified and his next step is to bolt again. Never mind that it's actually his new partner or anything since he was the one who opened the pokeball.]

Well, there is an organization called Team Rocket that causes trouble from time to time.

And in the journey from town to town might be a little troublesome because of wild Pokemon ...

I suppose you've already been told about the badges?

Wild Pokemon? I know a guy who can sort of turn into wild animals. Maybe hanging out with him prepared me for this. [Not for the loss of powers, though.]

Haven't heard about the badges yet. What are they for?

I can't really say. I suppose it is part of the journey. But other people have pursued badges for the purpose of winning the prizes that go with it.

For example, the ability for your Pokemon to fly. Since you cannot clomb mountains as you please, the most convenient way to travel is flight.

I swear that sounds like a video game I've played before.

So, if I get a flying Pokemon, I can't use fly unless I have a certain badge...even though it has wings and everything? That's weird.

[To think, he could have done all that stuff easily back home. Now there's suddenly rules everywhere. Dang.]

But I guess that could be fun, anyway.

That wouldn't be surprising then. Because I have been told that this game is a game people have in their world.

But, yes. Some people do find entertainment here. Quite a long one, but still. [ Long because she has been in the game for 2 years. ]
